Careers · EIGHT.39

The standard
is the job.

Five divisions, one company: fleet telematics, security and low‑voltage facility work, managed IT, custom software, and church technology. Every crew is ours — 100% W‑2, no subcontractors — and we hold one standard across all of it. If that’s already how you work, keep reading.

Fleet

Telematics and AI camera installation for carriers, private fleets, and dealers.

Facility

Access control, surveillance, structured cabling, and power protection.

MSP

Managed IT, automation, and internal systems.

Studio

Custom software and product development, built in‑house.

Churches

Audio, video, and lighting technology for houses of worship.

What you’re signing up for

Four things that are
actually true here.

The crews

Every tech is ours

100% W‑2, no subcontractors, across every division. We control scheduling, quality, and training — and the person next to you was hired to the same standard you were.

The standard

One bar, five divisions

A truck cab, a server rack, a sanctuary, a door controller. Different trades, same expectation: it’s done properly, it’s finished, and it holds up after we leave.

The tooling

We build what we use

Our own software platforms, hardware, and field processes — designed in‑house. If a tool slows the crews down, we change it. You’ll have a say in that.

The range

No two days the same

One week it’s a door controller, a camera swap, or a rack cleanup at a single site. The next it’s a fleet‑wide telematics rollout running across several states. Different trades, same standard.

Straight talk

This probably isn’t
for you if…

  • 01 You’d rather be handed the answer than find it on a wiring diagram.
  • 02 You need someone watching to do the job right.
  • 03 An early start or an out‑of‑town week is a dealbreaker.
  • 04 You want to lead crews without ever picking up a tool.
  • 05 “Close enough” is a standard you can live with.

Still here? Good. That’s most of the interview.

Install dash cameras, gateways, and AI telematics hardware on everything from pickups to cranes. If you know 12‑volt work — car audio, alarms, remote starts, dash cams, at home or professionally — you can do this job. No mechanic experience needed; we train you and pay you while we do it.

No opening that fits? We hire installers, technicians, and leads across all five divisions as the work comes in. If you’re good at this, send your resume anyway to careers@eight39.com and tell us which side of the house you belong on. We’d rather know you before we need you.

How we hire

Four steps.
No black hole.

  1. Step 01You apply

Resume plus a short note about the work you’ve actually put your hands on. A person reads it.

  2. Step 02We call

A 20‑minute conversation about the work, the scope, the pay, and what you’re looking for. No panel, no riddles.

  3. Step 03We go deep

A working conversation with the founder and a lead: real jobs, real problems, how you’d run them.

  4. Step 04Offer

References, background check, and a written offer with the number and the start date on it.

Our commitment: you’ll hear back from a person within five business days — including if the answer is no.

Let’s talk

Come do it right.

Send your resume and a short note about your experience. Tell us which division fits and it lands with the right person.
